Indianna finally submitted Isabella, and took no-gi gold

Sunday at the Australian Jiu Jitsu Championship was the kids card. Matstories recorded 1,094 finished youth matches. The adult recap covers Friday and Saturday. These are kids' competition records, not an adult ranking argument, and older coverage is still incomplete. "First recorded" is not the same as first ever.

A podium is optional. The interesting part is who finally got someone they had been losing to, and which gold medals came down to 2-2.

Six losses, then Indianna submitted Isabella

Isabella Dos Santos of Australia ASBJJ had beaten Indianna Zemanek of Trinity Australia in all six recorded meetings: Oceania Kids, NSW States, and the Oceanic Championship, gi and no-gi each time.

They met again in Junior III yellow no-gi. Indianna won by submission, and took gold. Isabella still won gi gold in the same age and belt. Indianna took bronze there. Their head-to-head page now has a seventh result, and it is the first one Indianna owns.

Amias finally beat Moin. Theo ended the unbeaten run.

Amias Ishimwe of Southside BJJ came in 41-0 on Matstories. He had also lost all four recorded meetings with Moin Elhouli of Australian Elite Team, going back to QLD States 2025 and last year's AJJC.

In Pee Wee III grey gi he beat Moin 6-0. That is the first recorded win in that pair. Later in the same bracket, Theo Deng of Gracie Barra Carlton submitted Amias and took gold. Amias left with gi silver and no-gi bronze. Moin took no-gi silver. All three results can be true at once. Their Amias vs Moin page has the five meetings.

Lucy won the rematch, then lost gold 2-2

Lana Pjanic of Australian Elite Team had submitted Lucy Collins of Australia ASBJJ three times, including at VJJC in May in the same Teen III green gi division. Lucy submitted her on Sunday, then lost the final 2-2 on advantages to Olivia Phair-Tello of Gracie Barra Bondi. Lucy took silver. Olivia took gold. Their head-to-head page has the flip.

Alessio Perrigo of Garra lost both meetings with Kai Daudt of Gracie Barra West Ryde at QLD States. In Melbourne Kai won gi again. Alessio won no-gi and took gold. Kai took gi gold and no-gi silver. Split the two days, keep both names.

Gold medals that finished 2-2, 4-4, and 6-5

Yihong Ma of Gracie Barra Castle Hill won Teen III grey gi 4-4 on advantages against Antonio Astras of Gracie Barra Broadbeach. Jessica Aslin of TA Byron Bay won Teen III orange no-gi 2-2 on an advantage against Valentina Song Redman, then also took gi gold, both by submission.

Aaria Rozario of Onya Martial Arts won Teen I grey no-gi 6-5 against Mia Trunfio, and also took gi gold. Sonya Rogers of Daredevil Jiu Jitsu won Pee Wee III grey gi 2-2 on an advantage, then took no-gi silver. A small room that actually competes is more Matstories than a medal table.

Seven recorded losses, then 4-0

Sean-Paul Way of Cia Paulista Australia had seven recorded matches on Matstories coming in, all losses. On Sunday he scored 4-0 against Ezra Lavin in Pee Wee II grey no-gi. He did not medal. That is still the first recorded win in his index, and it is the result a parent can open later.

The huge recorded kids' records from the preview mostly held. Aden Grajzman of Complete MMA went 8-0 after 9-0 at QLD States, with double gold in Pee Wee II grey. Danny Fayad of High Rollers stayed unbeaten, finished all three, and took Junior II grey gi and no-gi. Ezlan Hewitt of Forza Jiu Jitsu went 5-0, all submissions, in Pee Wee I. Those are competition records in the events Matstories has synced. They are not a skill rating.
